SHaolin history

I don't know much about Shaolin history. But I was just wondering if there was a northern en southern (destroyed by the Qing empire, if I'm correct) shaolin temple, where did shaolin originated from the northern or southern temple.

Dont know exactly but it was much later i believe it was founded by jee sim
