Any chance of YMAA doing a miscellaneous skills

Postby John the Monkey mind » Tue May 28, 2013 3:14 pm

Is there any chance of YMAA doing a miscellaneous skills of Gong Fu disk or disks or book?

I am thinking of things like trowing weapons, drawing a weapon, traditional methods of carrying a sheathed sword. Archery, other traditional skills and little used weapons. Military strategy, working as a team, traditional instructions in the broader aspects of self defense and awareness or trade craft type skills.
Developing vision acuity in differing light conditions, cross country skills, swimming gong, moving at night or wile making not much noise,
Things that are in the tradition but don't usually make it onto the syllabuses we get to study in the modern world.

Odd list I know but there is little out there for this type of thing.

:)

Basically "Superhero 101". This sounds like somt of the training in the later years of the 10-year Kung Fu program in CA.

It sounds like a great program, but not quite what we do. Presently.

Thanks though, please keep the ideas coming.
