Kung Fu and Qigong

Postby Jet Li » Sat Jan 20, 2007 8:01 pm

I'm looking for a good DVD that covers both martial arts and qigong. I am extremely interested in conditioning myself and learning some kung fu but I am also interested in learning how to meditate and qigong. The product that stood out for me the most was Shaolin White Crane Gongfu DVD but I saw that that has a higher difficulty rating than most of the products under DVDs. Is there a DVD that covers both Kung Fu and Qigong but isn't as difficult for beginners to learn?

Hi,

Both subjects are of course quite complex, and really couldn't be properly instructed within one DVD, by YMAA standards. By your description of wishing to condition your body with a 'amrtial intent', I would suggest that you try the 'White Crane Hard and Soft Qigong' DVD. This training could easily keep you busy for a year. In fact, it is recommended to train White Crane qigong for a period prior to beginning to study White Crane gongfu.

The qigong on this DVD slowly develop the body while you practice the fundamental 'jin patterns' that form the White Crane gongfu movements.
