T-Shirts

I notice you dont sell t-shirts,sweatshirts etc. I have looked on various sites for chi gong,white crane etc but they either dont look great or are a bit expensive for what they are. Dont know if YMAA are planning on selling this kind of merchandise?

I second that. I would love a sweatshirt, t shirt, etc. selling these products would offer yet another way for aficionados to support YMAA.
You cannot cut the man to fit the coat.

What kind of T-shirt would you like to see from YMAA Publishing? We would just sell a logo shirt, because you're *supposed* to be a YMAA martial arts student to get one of those...

But, people ask often about shirts, and we wonder what type of design you'd like to see?

Maybe large logo with Master YJM's longfist silhouette with something like, "Dedicated to preserving and developing the worldwide practice of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts for over 30 years"

I would buy that shirt. Perhaps a portion of the cost might go towards the RC? If you also did something 'softer' like an image of a crane with YMAA in chinese I could buy some for non-martial arts friends and family. Would make a nice gift idea..

funny, that was the second one I was thinking about! like the painting from the white crane book and dvd

I like it! But our friends at Kung fu magazine might feel like its a *little* too similar to their "Got Qi?" shirts.

Something graphic that would be nice for martial artists, as well as friends and family would be ideal. The crane and logo without text could be a compelling image. The yin/yang sort of speaks for itself. Hmmm...

Hello everyone!

I'm starting a fundraising campaign to help with tuition for the 5 Year Program at the Retreat Center. As one of the methods, I plan on selling t-shirts and DS pointed me to this thread and mentioned that people were interested in a crane shirt.

What do you think of these two designs?

Right now, I'm taking an initial bulk order for locals in the Boston area. In about 3 weeks, I'll launch the t-shirt campaign and each shirt will cost $20 plus a $5 shipping fee (flat rate to anywhere in the US, for any quantity of the same design going to the same address).

I wish I had that lion shirt when I was in the university, as I had a professor of Chinese history who continuously referred to that little fellow as a dragon. Anecdotes aside, though, I particularly like the crane image there. Inga's comments about being able to buy that even for people who may not share our interest in the martial arts seems to be spot on.
