Question about Qi storing

Postby Voidghost » Mon Jul 25, 2016 1:54 pm

Is the following correct?

Qi Storing technique -> In order to store Qi in the real lower Dan
Tien or in the upper Dan Tien, mind should be focused there (and
only there, which means that the mind should not think anything
else than the real lower or upper Dan Tien), at the same time the
tongue should be placed to the palate of the mouth, anus should be
expanded down in inhalation and held up in exhalation while
abdominal Buddhist breathing exercise should be done.
What does it mean to set the mind on the real lower and upper Dan
Tien? In my opinion it means to think of the real location of the real
lower Dan Tien and the upper Dan Tien.

Hi, Sorry, didn't see this. You're best off putting Qi-related stuff in the qigong forum.

The idea here is that you have to locate the actual FEELING of the center of your abdomen, not just think about it conceptually. The longer you focus on that feeling, the longer you energize the cells of the structure in the guts that we refer to as the "real lower dan tian", which is actually the 2nd brain, a neurological aspect to the guts.
