A notorious British prison hard man 'Charles Bronson' and his training
"Bronson, whose real name is Michael Peterson, keeps fit by doing 2,000 press ups in his cell twice a day."

Would you say this is feasible and how long do you reckon it would take? Is this an effective way of getting martial power?
I cant help but think he must have amazing core strength and pushing/striking power that could easily overwhelm an opponent.
I am a tradition MA man but this is making me think about the focus of my training. Would this type of power be very useful for traditional Martial arts? I think the founder of kyokushin karate Masutatsu Oyama was big on push ups although I could be wrong.
Are push ups traditional?
How do they fit with internal styles?
Are there other easily practised ways of gaining strength that are more productive? (I use a lot of isometrics)
