Wake Up!

Postby zzkevin » Mon Jul 18, 2005 12:48 pm

This works for me: I whisper good morning to my wife. Then I tell her I put more MA videos on the Master Card. She's on me like a mad banshee. No "repel the monkey" can stop her. By then I'm awake and eager to head for the cellar to train.

lol, kevin i can relate there. My gf doesnt like the amount of MA stuff i buy and has something against weapons the most. And weapons just happen to be the things i buy the most. Doesnt make her smile.

You know what really helps me wake up? 5 alarms at once. Makes me walk around, and forces my brain to wake up.

There's a 5 in the morning!?!?

Seriously though, I have trouble with this as well, most specifically actually getting about of bed, especially when I don't have to. Any tips for making yourself rise?

About the only thing I can say is self-discipline. I have had to force myself many times to get out of bed. Once I finish brushing my teeth I am awake and probably would not fall back a sleep if I tried.

The problem is there is just not enough time in a day to get everything done I want to do if I do not find some time in the morning.

I now get up at 5 am and by about 5:20 or so am doing the brocade. The brocade is certainly not taxing and does not require too much motivation to do when you are not wide awake yet. My version of the brocade takes me about 30 minutes. Then I spend the next 25 minutes doing Zhan Zhuang (standing qigong) mainly because the brocade is a great warm up for it. I then spend about 10 minutes cooling down and getting ready for a shower and breakfast.

I will say that on the weekends, I almost never follow this schedule. In fact I almost always sleep in until at least 7am and sometimes skip the brocade... And it is very nice to sleep in...

I deleted a post about some pills on some online pharmacy. Please don't post that on the board unless you have a pretty good statement to support it.

If you post only links to pill sites, I'll consider that spam.

Thank you.
