Yat_chum, ironically about 7 years ago I bought this ideo from a pawn shop and was introduced to capoeira training. After about 6 weeks I was able to do handstand puhups, my flexiblity increased rapidly and I found that something about the movement of the jinga made me less rigid, more fluid. This is pretty good for someone who wants to condition themselves.
With respect,e-w

Capoeria is great conditioning

I highly recommend Capoeria for conditioning, flexiblity and flow.

And my teacher was very good at Qinna, Brazilian style. But this is not commonly taught, as are the hand techniques, for about ten years into training. And I am not sure if most younger teachers know this aspect.

An old version of this art is to spar or Joga De Capoeria with unfolded straight edge razors between your first and second toe. In the US, the edges are taped. No blocking here, just learn to get out of the way and counter. Blocking their kicks, without razors, will get your arm broken anyway.
