Shoes for Training

I attended YMAA about twenty years ago, and the recommended shoe back then was an all matte black athletic low-top with black sole and laces, and a gold Chinese character on the out-step. They were the most comfortable shoes I have ever had, and I have been looking for them for years. I have searched the forums here, but I have not found mention of them. Does anyone know what these shoes are called or where to find them? Thank you.
