Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Postby Phalanxpursos » Mon May 28, 2007 2:33 pm

Greetings forum for Injury & Recovery.

{Main article}

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is the medical term used for severe psychological stress caused by years of exposure to traumatic experiences, PTSD can also be the consequences of years of suffering from serious physical injury. The symptons of Post Traumatic stress can be; aggressiveness, depression, dissociation, emotional detachment, memory loss, restlessness or insomnia. Non medicine or drug related treatments are; Qi Gong, soft style Tai Chi, cognitive-behavioral therapy, group therapy, exposure therapy, a vegetarian diet to prevent anger bursts, eat & drink healthy in general and eating the biggest meal between 12 or 3 o'clock midday time to prevent insomnia.

People who suffer from PTSD sometimes are least likely to have any type of equanimity, sometimes they may have trouble keeping on good terms with other people because of an emotional disorder caused by years of trauma because of a long term serious physical injury.

My advice is to have awareness about these type of people who have this problem.

Having a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is never easy. It’s like getting lost in a trance of traumatic events that caused lives to turn upside down. Some were lucky enough to stand up but those unfortunate ones are still down on their knees and they feel no escape at all. But the truth is, sometimes we just need to reflect on our own with a mindset to heal ourselves by looking at the bright side of things but if they still see no hopes at all then we need bring the help to them.
