I personally don't buy the "CMA doesn't fit into sport fighting" deal. Tim Cartmell's boys do bagua, xingyi, and taiji, and they've had plenty of success in MMA (they combine it with Brazilian jiu jitsu though).
More and more traditionalists are going into MMA. Lyoto Machida is primarily a Shotokan Karate practitioner, and now he could be a serious contender for the title.
