Have you ever tried this?
For the past month I have experienced a much stronger meditation experience by practicing with one arm folded atop the other, palms facing up. Not wrapped tightly, but one resting on top.
After initial discomfort a few times, it has become comfortable and creates reliable results each time, after about 15 minutes, and it pleasant for an hour of practice. Very strong Qi in the palms, forehead and face, and various other effects.
