Ba Duan Jin and food

Postby AZ Mountain Geek » Thu Nov 19, 2015 1:29 pm

A question - should Ba Duan Jin be practiced on an empty stomach, or is it ok to do after a meal? I have blood sugar issues and usually need to eat as soon as I rise in the morning and would like to do the 8 pieces of brocade after breakfast...

Thanks in advance!

Hi AZ Mountain Geek,

Hope you are still around.
Depending on your morning food intake, you may wait at least 30mn before practicing. The more food you take, the longer you should wait. This leaves you time for morning duties. Although Ba Duan Jin is not a very physically intensive routine, it is still qi work so you wouldn't interfere too much with digestion.
