Yi Quan Qigong

Postby pizwatc » Sat Dec 13, 2008 12:26 pm

Can anyone share experiences or provide background information on this style of Qigong? I have done a Google search and seen Youtube videos which appear to be movements which are similar to and compatible with the Yang style Taiji forms. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

There is actually no such thing but it is part of the basics/foundation of Yiquan. There is a part of training called taijizhuang, where certain static positions are taken resembling specific posture(s) of taijiquan.
Wuji is basically standing with hands at sides, which is starting positon of taijiquan. One could call a variation of wuji, where, feet shoulder width apart, OR with hands holding ball at shanzhong.
Dan pian (single whip) can be also a static holding posture!

The list is endless as the Dao!
