A friend and past T'ai Chi student has asked my advice on using abdominal breathing practices during childrbirth. She has done normal and reverse abd breathing in the past but wants refresher before going into labor. Any midwives, ob/gyns, ob nurses out there who can suggest whether normal or reverse abdominal breathing would be best for her? I'd lean toward reverse as there is definitely an intent but need a more knowledgable mind than mine for advice. Thanks, Greenwood
