I've really enjoyed these translations:

when Chengfu was young (twenties?) he felt that his father's training was too difficult. He left the family compound and tried to get into another school. Everyone laughed at him, saying: your father and grandfather are so famous and you want to come to our school? It was as if Chengfu wanted to forget what family he came from, but nobody would allow him to forget. So he went back to his family and started again.

Yang Luchan was originally an assistant in a Traditional Chinese Medicine pharmacy called Taihetang in Nanguan in Yongnian county, because he had piji (seems like some sort of disease causing swelling of the abdomen), he went to Chenjiagou with Li Bokui to learn taijiquan from Chen Changxing. His health improved, he achieved a very good level of skill, the two of them both returned to Yongnian county.

I've shared some excerpts from these great articles. :D

Taijiquan history is wonderful in order to gain an insight into its "patterns" but there are inaccurate stuff that tends to obfuscate intentions and gauge the breath of instruction. Better to hear/read from all sides and see the true meaning and intention behind the obfuscation.
