Triangle Step, Strike the Four Sides; Tread the Eight Directions, Penetrate the Nine Palaces.

Wuji Baguazhang, Master Dong passed it on to the world. Crisp, Fast, Agile, & Variable, Hard & Soft both mutually combine.

Baguazhang's Crossing Hands Secret

Postby ZERO » Fri Mar 16, 2018 1:50 pm

Bagua's marvelous wonder requires genuine study, people find Walking, Penetrating, Twisting, & Overturning difficult to Enter.

Even if he comes to strike me with tremendous Li, I use Whirling Turning Variations until getting to his body.

Without ever probing by Moving Hands in front of the Gate, you draw out his Hand Variations first.

Walking, Turning, Moving, Stepping Method

Postby ZERO » Sat Oct 27, 2018 1:41 pm

Baguazhang uses Stepping to beat people. Advance Step before advancing forward, Retreat Step before retreating backward. Step across to the left before moving the right foot, step across to the right before moving the left foot. Returning Body first Swing Steps, Turning Body first Hook Steps. Walking is the forefather of one hundred exercises, but one hundred exercises aren't equal to one Walk. Baguazhang is defined as being good at Walking's Boxing Art, it takes Walking & Turning while Issuing Maneuvers & Exchanging Patterns, Escaping Body & Changing Shadow. Only Walking can then avoid the enemy's cutting edge, while also being able to cause people to be confused. Avoid his use of Solidity, & strike him at his Emptiness, Unorthodox & Orthodox mutually generating one another, therefore it is named Turning Palm.

This is a fantastic thread.

I want to share some exciting news on this topic.

YMAA is about to publish a pair of new instructional Bagua DVDs by Chenhan Yang, president of SYL Wushu and a disciple of GM Liang, Shou-Yu. His teaching and performance is AMAZING.

His titles will appear soon here: https://ymaa.com/publishing/author/chenhan-yang

Bagua DVD 1: Eight Palms / March 2019

Bagua DVD 2: Swimming Body / May 2019

Let me know what you think when you get a chance to check them out.

Thanks
