Some help needed...

Hello there.
I am new to this forum, so greetings to everybody reading this. I have been practicing taiji quan for some time (meaning I am quite inexperienced), but I feel I can benefit from some training in staff and saber. My little problem is finding a suitable staff, or the kind of dao that is, for example, portrayed in YMAA's dvd on the subject, with that specific guard. Any references to how to obtain them would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am ignorant enough to wonder whether there are specific sizes for the saber depending on ones' height (I'm 5' 8").
