arching the back

Postby mschneider » Tue Jan 13, 2009 6:47 am

hello everybody, I have a question about arching the back. I've understood (probably...) the meaning but I'm in doubt how to arch it properly in coordination with the breathing during the form. Note that I use the daoist (reverse) breathing. when I inhale how have I to move my back? and when I exhale?
Thank you and have a good practice! greetings from Italy and long live master Yang. max

Study the 18 movement taiji chigong. There's a movement called open the chest. It teaches you how to arch the back with inhale and exhale. Also how to use it in application

There's a book titled taij qigong. Don't remember the author but its blue and the author is bald headed.
My teacher does the 18 slightly different, but you'll get the idea. Also you can search for egreenway taiji 18 on google.
As far as I know, Dr yang doesn't teach it, but I'm not one of his students.

thanks. I've already found something interesting in dr. Yang's DVD "White Crane soft and hard qigong".
