The Fighting Set

Postby ThirdShogun » Wed Oct 08, 2008 6:41 am

Would there be any benefit to purchasing this form if I mainly practice solo?

For instance I have a Sifu now, but aside from pushing hands with him once per week, I only train alone doing qiqong/taolu/various other exercises I've learned.

In other words, is there any benefit to practicing 1 half of this set? Is it even taught that way on the DVD, possible?

Or am I just looking for things to spend my money on? :D

PS I can't wait for the new DVD to come out in Dec. featuring the Daoist monk Zhou Xuan Yun. Exciting!

I don't think there'd be anything good for solo pratice. It'd be like doing pushing hands on your own without ever having a partner!
The feeling of doing a matching set in solo is very different.
Keep practicing pushing hands with your sifu.
If you haven't tried that yet, try to find a partner, bring him to your sifu and train with him and then one day you can try the fighting set!
"Turn your butt!"

Awesome, thank you for your reply. I will try to seek out another practitioner!
