Taoist Tai Chi

Am looking for commentary on Taoist Tai Chi developed by Moy Lin-shin in the 1970s. Have heard many respected T'ai Chi teachers say that this is not T'ai Chi and does not adhere to principles of T'ai Chi. From what I have seen of it, I would agree (Yang player here).
Would like thoughts on why it does not adhere to principles of T'ai Chi. People are asking about it and I would like to be able to give them an insightful answer. Thanks.

Interesting inquiry, though I doubt this board is big enough to generate a lot of replies.

I've looked into them a little bit, and didn't care for what I saw. I'm not sure about Moy's training. Maybe it was good, maybe not. None of us can say.

But the school seems to open branches very easily and the few I visited when I was in the States showed stuff that was.....umm......not to my liking, shall we say. And I'm talking about the teachers, not the beginning students.

I hear that Taoist Taichi dominates the markets in most areas as far as taiji instruction goes. It's sad but there are many reasons for it IMO.

Try to explain the difference to them but let them try it out for themselves!
Every other style says the other is not using taijiquan principles so let be and let go!
