Nice!

One suggestion: do you think Mr Lowe could use an actual wood staff instead of that godawful (IMHO :) ) flashy silver exhibition thing? It would, at the very least, be easier on the eye!

Yeah well thats our Josh!

I have footage of him doing the same form (with the same goddamn pole) but much, much slower for learning purposes.

All the footage is from our new "White Crane Overview DVD" (One & a Half Hours).

What did you think of the others forms shown??? Please be brutal in you opinions as this is how we learn, grow, advance.

The staff form was pretty good, at least as far as I understand it. The staff itself, not so much. The speed generated with these exhibition poles makes viewing a little difficult and may unrealistically suggest to viewers that the same can be done with a 3cm diam waxwood (or similar) staff. I'd like to see that! :D

Okay, brutal criticism: I am always a little concerned about promotional videos like these that have two or more participants. Why? Because I find it distracting. If all the players aren't well synchronised it causes the viewers attention to flit from one to another. Distracting.

As for the performances themselves... I'm certainly not a good judge so I will leave that to others.

You also have the world's 2nd most baggiest pants! Pipped at the post by this guy. Just thought you ought to know that. :P

Monsoon,

Thanks for your comments.

Yeah as stated we have footage of Josh doing the staff form from front & side at a very much slower rate so that the movements can be seen in their entirety. Thank you for your suggestions re: a waxwood pole ... will certainly do that in the near future!

Thanks also for your views on haveing more than two people on screen. The reason we did this was so the viewer could see the individuality of each person although from the same art. But you do make some very good points! Thank you!

I welcome even your most general commenst on the "performances" be they good or bad. We have a lot to learn and improve on!

The pants ........... :D Yeah well I have always like very big, very loose clothing and I beleive that historically it was somewhat like this in the old Middle Kingdom. But hey! That other guys pants ..... Wow!
