Isn't Shi Yanming's school in NYC? If you want Shaolin martial arts, that might be a place to check out. I've heard good things about him.
He may be the Shaolin temple mentioned in an earlier post.

Its a yes on both counts.

Yes shi yan ming is in New York.

Yes he owns the "temple" (which is not yet a temple :P)
