This is the actual fundamental training used at Wudang mountain for beginning students. Its not easy.
So, yes, its for beginners. And yes, it takes a while to condition the body into these stretches, stances, kicks. He mentions this in the program, and repeatedly warns about over-training and 'listening to your own body' soas to naturally progress.
