Butterfly Kick

Postby Yue » Fri Jan 18, 2008 3:33 pm

I saw this technique on the Shaolin Kung Fu Fundamental Training DVD, and would really like to learn it. However, even after watching it in slow motion, I still can't figure out how to do it. Could somebody please give me step-by-step instructions perhaps?
Anything goes.

Butterfly kick or xuanzi isn't very hard to do, but you do need proper training to do it correctly. Find yourself an instructor, that'd be best.
However, once you've learned how to do it, you should strengthen your legs, because, believe me, it's supposed to be done a lot higher than it's done on that video.
Good luck!
