Hi DOM,

Your title says sabre, but your post reads sword..I am not sure which weapon you are looking for. I bought my sabre from an online store which does not stock them anymore (or at the moment) here is a similar one:

It is made out of walnut. I had to cut mine down to get the balance right (I had help to do this, I did not guess it) and I can send you the paper pattern if you wish. Just pm me your address - or if you are in Boston for the seminars this month maybe we could arrange to meet so I could show you.

Peace, Inga

thanks a lot Inga, but I am looking for one of much higher quality that can take the abuse and impact of hard and rigorous training against other weapons. The Walnut swords/weapons are OK for forms and light contact, but break very easily with any hard contact and can be dangerous. I should be up for the Tai Chi Ball Seminar . If you be there I would definatly like to see the pattern. Thanks again

This would be what you're looking for. They can make the saber in your choice of hardwood and I've heard that they will take a beating. Of course, you will pay for quality. But then you might have a saber that you could use for the rest of your life. :)
