Just wondering, I have the book and it says that training it will make your jin sharp and penetrating, but it never says how that happens. Does anyone know how that works?
Anything goes.

Great question for the qigong forum...
This qigong trains the connection of the entire body and develops whipping power. The slow motion qigong exercises are the jin patterns of Crane gongfu when sped up.
Dr. yang recommends that you train soft Crane qigong for 6 months, then add hard Crane qigong for 6 months, BEFORE training any Crane gongfu.
Hope this helps.
