Hi Shaheen,

Welcome to the forum.
All I can say about White Crane Hard Qigong (I don't know dr. Yang's crane qigong) is that ALL practice is good.

But ..

Maybe it's better for you to start with Taiji qigong first, I don't know at what level you practice Taijiquan, but hard qigong in Taijiquan is (to my knowledge) quite advanced training, since internal styles advance from soft to hard and external styles advance from hard to soft.

Here are some links to some good YMAA books on Taijiquan (by dr. yang), I don't know which style of Taijiquan you're practicing but I think these will bring you a long way on theory, qigong, qinna, and other applications.

Shaheen,

The quality of fighting is found in the practitioner, not the art itself.
Like a painting (A Rembrandt for instance) cannot arise without the artist, no art can arise without the presence of an artist. It's the artist who makes the art, not the art that makes the artist.
