I practise Meihuaquan (plum blossom boxing) and in my style there are Bafangbu (step in 8 directions) that are in 3 manners. 3 points, 5 points, circle. I think that the practise of Hequan can are the 5 points, but I never see this kind of tecnics in Hequan.
I search a video about Zhong Bafangbu of Meihuaquan.

Bafangbu is a methods of steps for to control my enemy and to adapt me to the movement of the opponents. The 3 kinds (Da, Zhong and Xiao) corresponds to the distance from the opponent.
If I have time, I send patterns of this 3 kinds.

Thanks anarcapeack,
The patterns would be great to see as well as an explanation of how they are used in terms of distance, angle, and timing!
