Fei Mao Dan fly whisk

Postby Josh Young » Fri Jan 17, 2014 9:29 pm

I have read of fly whisks being used as a weapon and am looking for examples or photographs.
Can anyone help me find examples of these?
I have not had any luck thus far.

I am also curious about their use.

I have seen precious few examples of practical applications in the use of the fly whisk. However, it is said that flicking hairs into the eyeballs of an opponent will give you ample time to use the handle of the fly whisk to attack a venerable point on the head of your opponent, such as the temple.

That being said, I have occasionally seen video of external shaolin demonstration forms that use the fly whisk. I was able to find one example fairly easily.

A quick search found a VCD called Shaolin Buddhist Whisk, but there wasn't much information currently available on it.
