ymaa retreat center 10 yr program

Postby connor » Sun Nov 21, 2010 6:16 pm

i am new and just recently got into kung fu a few months back via push hands...its become more then a hobby for me, and is slowly but surly becoming a way of life. the retreat center program seems like a dream come true but sadly im fresh out of high school and broke, i would like to be able to get a degree, gain more knowledge in the ways of kung fu and become more flexible/strong body mind and soul and be able to pay my own way before i even entertain thoughts of attempting to get into the program.....is this ten year program his last one? or will he be doing another round after it is through?

Hello, welcome.

http://ymaa-retreatcenter.org

The 10-year program at the Retreat Center started in September 2008. No further students are being accepted at this time.

In 2013, Dr. Yang MIGHT accept more students for a 5-year program, if the funds can be raised. The Center is a nonprofit and the funding has been slow during this poor economy.

Master Yang will not start another 10-year program when the current program ends in 2018. It is his hope that the Retreat Center will continue to run in perpetuity as a place for dedicated training for many generations to come. The instructors of these possible future programs have not yet been determined.

Tune into the YouTube channel for videos from Dr. Yang and the students:

Thank you.

Yes, Dr. Yang MIGHT be accepting another group in 2012. In the meantime however, feel free to come train with us. Just check out the information on our website, http://www.ymaa-retreatcenter.org, and send Dr. Yang an email :)
