MasterDan wrote:very good insight on untainted energy. and yes Sanfung, i mean the 2nd one. by just imagining holding a globe of light. I thought i would describe my daily routine here, if anyone wants to try it out.
0) Qi gathering, by pointing palms towards the sun and imagining drawing the energy in, by placing palms on a tree and drawing energy that way, or on the ground. (the gathering stage is really weird because i started noticing my palms pulsing during the process)
1) cycle breaths: use both hands to make smooth circles by rotating from your waste, clock wise and counter clockwise while you breath in slowly. later i added breathing in and motioning with your hands for energy to belly then you spread it over body, first down to toes and then up to head shoulders and beyond
2) stance 1; bending knees a bit and holding palms stretched out to both sides, imagining being encircled by a ball of light. you can then later try holding the structure and jump up and down or rotate.
3) stance 2; its like you are hugging someone, but instead of a person in your arms you are hugging a big ball of light while standing, knees bent a little. you can then later do squats while holding the position.
i finish up with tapping along the meridians and usually after these exercises my palms feel full of qi and blood. i've also been trying to do more finger pushups to strengthen my hands. I think working out has a lot to do with increasing your Qi capacity.. you can't be lazy and expect to have lots of qi
