I love to listen to music and practice martial arts, including weapons and empty hand form.
I combine dancing with my practice and practice with my dancing.

I listen to music that older folks are not going to like, largely dubstep, mainly because older people never like new music. Some young folks won't like the music either, it is a matter of both taste and familiarity. Like my friend said, I am an immigrant to this, while my kids are natives, having grown up with what I have only gotten used to.

Anyway I love this stuff and am sharing it for those who have an open mind, if you don't like it then no worries. If you do that is great!

Some of you might like it though, so i am going to share links to music I like:

I've been listening to Nero, Modigs, Moxix, Porter Robinson, Vexare, Lets be Friends, Popeska, Rameses B, DSKOTEK, cryptex, Zeds Dead and more.

I love the intensity of this music.

Interesting stuff - I used to be into a bit of techno and whatnot back in the 90s. Now I just drift around (musically speaking).

You might enjoy this - a kind of hybrid type of thing.

Bollywood hiphop!!

Sometimes when I am doing Surya Namaskar I will put this on to lift that early morning feeling. :D

I listen to lots of other music, all types, lots of classical, some pop, rap, house, ect.
I love dancing.

When dancing with a woman I often apply taiji principals, the leading and following material and peng are really good for it.

Cool Josh! I love electronic! I started out with psychedelic trance when I was a small boy. Since then been wondering around between different genres of electronic (I do listen to other stuff too)...I have a love towards Drum'n'Bass but for the past year or two I've been really into minimal techno.

I think I've had a bit too much of green tea today...nevertheless, the topic inspired me to go swing some bo with techno on background. Yeaaah!

Here is 希然宁泊 by Sa DingDing live at the BBC Proms. Enjoy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MvrbcuLVjY

If you happen to have a good link to Chinese servers at youku, a
20-minute clip (with English promo at beginning) of the same
concert:

http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XOTQwNDkxMDA=.html

Alternatively if the network connection is not nice, it is
possible to download the clip from youku (with whatever time
it'll take) and watch it only after.

In another range, here is Sidi Larbi's 'Sutra' (3:30 minutes
excerpt), a dance act that was made with Shaolin monks:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAjRQgyxtCg

Certainly worth checking it out if they go on a worldwide tour.

From The Guardian, U.K. :

"Aged between 10 and 26 years the monks performing in Sutra
follow a strict Buddhist doctrine, with kung fu and tai chi
martial arts forming a part of their daily ritual. Sidi Larbi
Cherkaoui (who is a big Bruce Lee fan) spent several months at
their Temple before devising his awe-inspiring piece. During
Sutra the monks perform such spectacular, dare devil moves that
you see them quite literally as leaps of faith."

"Antony Gormley’s stage setting consisting of 21 wooden boxes
which are carried or pushed around the stage by the monks,
becoming walls, boats, beds, skyscrapers, toys, temples –
whatever is needed. It is set to a specially commissioned score
by Polish composer Szymon Brzoska for piano, percussion and
strings which is performed live."

For some reason I did not expect so many fellow electronic music fans. As for immigration to a particular style of music, I used to be fairly closed minded about what I listened to and really never gave new material a fair chance. I think this might be what you are referring to, Josh, when you say that older people never like new music.

I had to learn that there is absolutely no real reason not to learn to appreciate music that was previously alien to me. I figured that something fairly common in the dubstep scene like a Skrillex track would have been suggested already, but I guess I have the honor of doing so.

In a roundabout way, I guess it matches the theme of the forum since the track technically is about Reptile.
