With all due respect and admiration... I was wondering if Dr Yang,Jwing-Ming was a descendent of the Yang family i.e. Yang,Lu-shan(1799-1872). I love Yang Style. I pose this question in complimentary fashion. I have not seen it addressed before. I hope it is not rude to ask.

AND it was recently discovered that there is a direct lineage from the Yang family Taijiquan to Dr. Yang, very exciting and interesting news.

Dr. Yang's teacher Kao Tao studied with Teacher Yue, an indoor disciple of Yang, Chengfu.

I don't think Yang is a very popular name in China and Japan. It would be hard to find the family tree online. Why don't you hire a specialist, he is able to do deep research for a family tree because they have access to more resources.
