Even though I did not know him and had not heard of him until the last year or so, it is with a heavy heart that I announce this.
Robert Koga died at age 83. Whenever I read anything from the mid-20th century about the martial arts I see his name. He was famed for developing the Koga Method that helped police officers defend themselves and apprehend suspects through hand-to-hand methods.
You may remember a while back I was reading all those old magazines on Google Books. Well, Robert Koga was mentioned quite often. He often contributed information and was interviewed I remember.
He will be sorely missed for sure.
